Question by Viking Chicken: How do I get my computer back to normal after removing antivirus xp 2008? My computer boots up really slow and it seems it may be slowing down a tiny bit on internet functions and desktop items, and I think it’s because antivirus xp changed some of my settings or something. I’m sure the virus is totally dead, I’ve run symantec anti-virus a few times and run malwarebytes and ad-aware several times each just to be totally sure. I’ve also removed about 100 GB of files, defragmented the hard drive, ran a disk cleanup, and removed [...]

Question by ismisunderstood: Can you copy the registry outside of windows? I have a Windows XP laptop which had a corrupted “windows\system32\config \system” file. Tried to run a repair install, but the installer did not see the original install (probably due to the corrupt file). Using recovery console, we managed to repair the file, but still cannot log into windows (it halts immediately after loading MUP.sys). I have created a second partition on the hard drive, and have installed XP there. We would like to copy the program files directory over to the new partition, copy the original registry (so [...]
Question by Iowa_Guy4U: How do I find the best Windows XP Registry Cleaner program out there? Are all registry cleaners avalable in download only options? I’d like to get the package/cd instead. Thanks for your help. Best answer: Answer by JackalOne registry program I would try is Ace Utilities. This program finds all the stuff that takes up room in your registry and decides the best option. When you download it it’s got a 30 day trial or something like that, but the program itself is fairly inexpensive. Give your answer to this question below!
