Question by threedognet: I am trying to get rid of hpupdate.exe but cannot find it anywhere on an XP machine. Where should I look? This is from an old scanner and the software updater pops up on the desktop during/right after startup and says you must select yes in order to continue the update because of a certificate error. The title bar says LTZ Precision Scanjet. When you hit OK nothing happens after that.I have checked the startup but cannot find it there. Ran a system search and no luck there either.
