Question by Searching: Need help with a computer problem, NIC, windows, or virus? I have a desktop PC running XP that won’t connect to the internet. I checked all of the connections on my router and everything indicates there isn’t a problem. The PC is hardwired to the router and that connectiong (physically) is fine as well. I go in the computer and it says there is no connection to the router (it had previously worked). When i go to RUN, and type IPCONFIG, the command prompt displays for a second and then goes away.
