Question by thelazychicken93: How do you hide user accounts from the Windows XP Login screen? I’m using a Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. Does anybody knows how to hide an user account without disabling it? I’m fine if I need to tweak the registry manually (though I know the risks) but preferably not downloading another program. Question by J: Windows XP User Accounts Window/Icon not opening (Control Panel)? Recently had some viruses and spyware come up on my computer. I managed to remove most of them so far and get the computer back to normal, but for some reason the Welcome Screen and the Fast User Switching stopped working. The “User Accounts” icon or shortcut located in the Control Panel will not open also. As a result I can’t activate the Welcome Screen or Fast User Switching.
